「Know Your Enemy」はカリフォルニア州バークレー(アメリカ)のロックバンド、グリーン・デイが2009年に発表した楽曲です。

Rage Against The Machineぽい歌詞だなと思ってましたが、レイジにも同名曲「Know Your Enemy」あるんですね。

８枚目のアルバム『21st Century Breakdown』に収録されてます。政治色の強い『21st Century Breakdown』と前作『American Idiot』はグリーン・デイにとって重要な２枚です。グリーン・デイの立ち位置を決定づけた２枚でしょう。

アメリカのバンドは露骨に政府を非難します。「暴力はエネルギー」「沈黙は敵」と過激な言葉が飛び交います。島国日本にはないカルチャーです。今聴いてもサウンド歌詞共に充実してますね。
