「Misery Business」はアメリカのロックバンド、パラモアが2007年に発表した楽曲です。

Misery Business/Paramore 解説

「Misery Business」の歌詞ですが、ボーカルのヘイリー・ウィリアムスが実体験に基づいているようです。

好きな男性が別の女性と関係を持っていて、その女性が「男性を利用している」と感じたそう。その後自分が彼と付き合うことになったときに、感じた感情を書きなぐったのがこの「Misery Business」とのこと。

アヴリル・ラヴィーンの「Sk8er Boi」といい、女性目線のロックでは略奪愛もなんだかカッコよく感じます。男性だとちょっと情けなく感じる歌詞テーマですよね。個人的には女性ならではの曲でめっちゃ好きです。
