The Spark/Afrojack ft. Spree Wilson 解説

当時のアフロジャックはEDMブームの中心人物の一人で、かなり勢いのある時期でした。

ボーカルを担当したスプリー・ウィルソンは、ラップやソウルの要素も持つアーティストで、本曲ではかなり軽やかな歌声を聴かせています。ちなみに「The Spark」はリミックス版もかなり多く、Tiësto、DubVision、Blasterjaxx、小室哲哉などがリミックスを手掛けていました。当時のEDMシーンの盛り上がりを感じますね。

MVはラスベガスを舞台に撮影されていて、触れた場所に“火花”が走るような演出が使われています。アフロジャックが愛車のランボルギーニを乗り回しているのも、2010年代EDM感かなり強め。この頃のEDMって本当にキラキラしてましたよね。
