Columbia/Oasis 解説

「Columbia」はマンチェスター(イギリス)のロックバンド、オアシスが1994年に発表した楽曲です。

デビューアルバム『Definitely Maybe』の５曲目、中盤ミドルテンポのサイケデリックナンバーです。マッドチェスターの影響強いです。日本独自編集盤のEP『Supersonic』にColumbia (White Label Demo)収録されてました。

日本独自編集盤のEP『Supersonic』は６曲入りで、発売は1994年7月14日。イギリス盤は４月11日なんで、約３か月遅れだったんですね。

その後『Definitely Maybe』が8月29日発売、その年の12月18日には「Whatever」、翌年には『(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?』とバンドは１年半で疾風の如く駆け昇っていきましたとさ。
