クーラ・シェイカーはロンドン出身のロックバンドです。バンド名は９世紀のインドのクラシェクハラ王に由来します。

当時のクーラ・シェイカーは天下を取りそうな勢いがありました。とにかく瞬間最大風速は凄かった印象があります。クリスピアン・ミルズ(ヴォーカル)の端麗なルックスとグルーヴ感溢れるサイケデリック・ロックはかっこよかった。バンド名もかっこいいです。今でも日本では根強い人気があるようです。
