Underclass Hero/Sum 41 解説

「Underclass Hero」はアメリカのパンクバンド、Sum 41(サム・フォーティーワン)が2007年に発表した楽曲です。同名のアルバムに収録されています。

2002年にリリースしたアルバム『All Killer No Filler』では”若者vs大人”をテーマにしていたのに対し、今回のアルバムでは”上流階級vs下流階級”をテーマにした、とボーカルのデリック・ウィブリーは語っています。

似た方向性のGreen Dayは音楽性も思想もパンクよりかなと感じますが、Sum 41はどちらかというと音楽性がパンクなだけで、思想はそこまで強くないように感じます。カッコいいことに変わりはないですが。
