本曲はザ・ネプチューンズ時代のファレル・ウィリアムスとチャド・ヒューゴがプロデュースを担当しています。当時のヒップホップとしてはかなり異色なミニマルサウンドでしたが、それが逆に大ヒットにつながりました。今聴いても音がかなり洗練されてます。

特徴的な舌打ちのようなパーカッション音は、実際に口で鳴らした音をサンプリングして作られています。さらにドラム音もかなり削ぎ落とされていて、スヌープのラップを際立たせる構成になっていますね。
