「Killing In The Name」はアメリカのロックバンド、レイジ・アゲインスト・ザ・マシーンが1992年に発表したデビューシングルです。

1990年代オルタナティブの時代に登場したミクスチャーバンドの先駆け的存在、レイジ・アゲインスト・ザ・マシーン。ヘビーなバンドサウンドに政治的メッセージを含んだラップを乗せるのが特徴です。レッド・ツェッペリンとパブリック・エナミーの融合と呼ばれました。

「Killing In The Name」は1992年に起きたロス暴動が背景になってるようです。1991年スピード違反で捕まった黒人男性に対して、白人警察官が激しい暴行を加えました。後に白人警察官が無罪放免となったことで、大勢の黒人がロサンゼルスで暴動を起こした事件です。
