Mean It/Lauv, LANY 解説

この曲はLAを中心に活動するシンガー・ラウヴと、同じくLAで活動するインディーポップバンド・LANY(ちなみに由来はLos Angeles New Yorkの頭文字)のコラボ曲です。

この曲が歌っているのは、恋人(らしき人物)と自分との間にある思いの差を嘆き、別れを考えている男の心境。自分は相手の都合のいいように扱われているだけで、ちっとも自分の思いに応えてくれない彼女にとうとう愛想をつかせてしまいそう。

さらには曲の途中から、彼女は自分をキープしてるだけだとわかります。良くある話ですが、こう曲にして聞いてみると何とも切ない気持ちになりますね。
