「Thinking Out Loud」はアメリカの歌手、エド・シーランが2014年にリリースした楽曲です。

Thinking Out Loud/Ed Sheeran 解説

グラミー賞でも最優秀楽曲賞（Song of the Year）を受賞した本曲。エド・シーランを語るうえでは外せない名曲です。

エド・シーランの家にシンガーソングライターのエイミー・ワッジが訪れた際、彼女がなんとなく弾いたコード進行をもとにエドが書き上げた曲だそうです。なので作詞・作曲には二人の名前が入っています。ちなみに二人は元々よく共同制作をしていたみたいですね。

エド自身はこの曲を「バージンロードを歩くための曲」と表現しました。その言葉通り、バージンロードが目に浮かぶような美しい曲です。
