Girlfriend/Avril Lavigne 解説

Girlfriendは、既に彼女のいる男の子と付き合いたくてたまらない女の子の心の叫びを歌った曲です。アヴリルは泥酔している時にこの曲を書いたそうで、翌朝に気づいたら曲の歌詞が手元にあったとか。

ちなみにこの曲は、2ndアルバム『アンダー・マイ・スキン』で見られたような「アヴリル自身のことを歌った」曲ではありません。なぜならこの曲のレコーディング時にはアヴリルは結婚していたからです。
