「Something Just Like This」は、アメリカのEDMデュオであるチェインスモーカーズと、イギリスのロックバンドのコールドプレイによるコラボレーション楽曲です。2017年にリリースされました。

切ないポップロックを歌わせたら右に出る者はいないクリス・マーティンの声が、今最も勢いがあるであろうチェインスモーカーズのサウンドに乗っていい曲ができないわけがありません。歌詞の意味なんてわからなくても、なんでこんなに切なく感じるの？

「Something Like THis」のリリースは2017年ですが、2016年9月の時点でチェインスモーカーズ側がクリスの参加した未発表曲の一部をSNSで公開していたこともあって、当時から話題になっていました。正式リリース前にはSpotify上で広告が誤って先に出てしまい、半ばリーク状態になったことも。
